The cmap director emailed me and told me about the position and told me if I was interested in the camp and the role to email her back.

I get about 2 hours a day off plus days off between sessions. I think nearly everyone has 2 hours off and between sessions off. Between sessions it is anywhere between 24 hours and 3 days off

i'm a 'music specialist' at camp , they havent defined it 100% but as far as i know i'm teaching music to all ages, teaching drama, accompaning a little on piano (it better be a little lol i'm not particuarly comfortable accompaning i'd rather be singing with them haha) and also auditioning and running musicals/plays with the rest of performing arts team (theres about 5 of us i think?) But yeah nervous but very excited Smile

mel ur going to have SO much fun!!!! 7 month old wowwwwww lol, he'll just have learnt to sit up by himself and will probably be babbling instead of cooing! man wat a lovely age to work with, seriously lol. the 6 month old girl i look after is beautiful. you'll have heaps of fun!

gosh i hope not lol. i've done up to gr 6 ameb theory but it made me hate writing even more lol. i guess i can teach a basic chord progression for song writing but if i have to help everyone compose a song it will be interesting lol.

Yeah I hated doing composition...mainly because it just took so long!! I'd come up with some really good stuff, but it took me ages! I ended up quiting music as a subject in High School....it was prety much for those with perfect pitch and who wanted to do it as a career. THEY WERE HARDCORE!

def pros and cons with both lol.

yeah a lot of ppl in my music class took it because they thought it would be a really easy subject lol. they were sooo wrong and we ended up with like 6 ppl in our yr 12 class who were actually serious about music and enjoyed it lol. i did music cos its pretty much all i knew at the time.

u guys have to let me no how the swimming instructing goes! sounds kinda fun!
